Anbua was born at Tse-Girgi, Logo Local Government Area of Benue state on 25th December, 1964
He had early education at the Local Government Education Authority, L.G.E.A Primary School, Abeda between 1974 and 1979 obtaining the First School Leaving Certificate. Thereafter, he proceeded to Mbaterem Community Secondary School, Kyado between 1979 and 1984, graduating with a General Certificate of Education, GCE,Ordinary Level.
Between 1985 and 1987, Hon. Anbua obtained the Interim Joint Matriculation Board, IJMB, certificate from the School of Basic Studies in Makurdi. He then enrolled for B.Sc Business Management in 1991 at the University of Jos, completing the program in 1994.
Mr. Anbua bagged a Masters in International Relations and Strategic Studies as well as Masters in Business Administration from the Benue State University in 2005 and 2012 respectively.
His other qualifications include Executive Certificate in Civil and Public Leadership from Wright state University, Dayton Ohio, June 2013; Certificate of Membership, Institute of Fraud Examiners, with specialization in economic and Financial Fraud June, 2008; Institute of Management Consultant Certificate in Ethics in Management Consulting, November, 2010, Certificate in International Business Negotiation, Beijin, China, 2013.
He is also a member, African Leadership Institute, USA.
Hon. Anbua was class teacher, NKST Secondary School, Mkar, 1989 to 1990. He did the mandatory youth service at National Electric Power Authority (NEPA), Ota, Ogun State from 1995 to 1996.
He was elected member, Benue State House of Assembly, Logo constituency in 1997 under the aborted General Sanni Abacha transition program.
From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Anbua was chairman/coordinator, National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP) for Logo local Government Area. He was also Senior Special Assistant to Governor of Benue state Dr. George Akume between 2005 and 2007.
Mr. Anbua served as Special Assistant to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP National Auditor from 2008 to 2011 and in the same capacity from 2011 to 2014, as Special Assistant to the Minister of State, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
Married with two children, he has visited many countries in Europe, the Americas, Africa and the United Arab Emirates.
Hon. Anbua enjoys meeting people with innovative thinking, listening and watching documentaries, reading, travelling as well as watching football.
