BURUKU CHAIRMAN VISITS MBAAKURA OVER HOODLUMS ATTACK, CALLS FOR APPREHENSION OF CULPRITS

Buruku Council Chairman, Hon. Raymond Zege Aondoakura on Saturday visited Mbamsorum in Ugbema, Mbaakura council ward of Buruku Local Government Area, following hoodlum attacks.

Hoodlums had on Thursday, razed down a building where a Woman and her daughter were in their sleep.

The Buruku Chief Security Officer who was accompanied on the visit by Engr. Iko Benjamin on arrival at Mbamsorum, were briefed and taken to the scene of the attack by the Kindred Head of Mbamsorum, Zaki Iorbume Ichugh and Community Leader, Hon. Donald kaainjô.

The Council Chairman further checked on the victims at Teryima Clinic and Maternity Ugbema where he conveyed the sympathy and prayers of Buruku Council as well as the directives of the Benue State Governor, Reverend Father Doctor Hyacinth Alia of the victim’s immediate transfer to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi for proper medical attention.

Hon. Zege while addressing the community members who converged on the premises of Zaki Iorbume Ichugh, said he was on the ground on behalf of Governor Hyacinth Alia to extend solidarity and also to assure them, that the government is working tirelessly with security agencies in the battle against criminality in Buruku and the State at large.

He further appealed to the community members to cooperate and give maximum support to the security agencies noting strongly that the pepatrators of the heinous act must face the wrath of the law even as he charged security agencies to unmask the elements behind the act.

While praying God for the speedy recovery of the victims, the Peoples’ Chairman noted that his administration shall leave no stone unturned in the protection of lives and property of Buruku people.
