Akata is a place in Katsina-Ala local government area.

The place is part of Katsina-Ala town but extends outside of the town to include some villages that belong to Ikyurav Tiev clan of Tiv nation and the Etulo.
The most busy route in Katsina-Ala town reaches Akata. The road from Takum junction to Juladaco roundabout to College of Education side gate (known as across) gets to Akata.
