Benue State Education Quality Assurance Agency 

BEQA (Benue State Education Quality Assurance Agency) is an education regulation agency in Benue State. It strengthens government control and regulation of schools that are below tertiary level through the standardization, monitoring and evaluation of both private and public schools

The agency was established by Governor Hyacinth Alia to improve the quality of education in the state.

BEQA aims to:

  • Strengthen education at the Basic and Post-Basic levels.
  • Redefine the criteria for delivery of quality education in the State
  • Create an efficient administrative structure for policy formulation, monitoring and implementation.
  • Strengthen Government’s control and regulation of schools below tertiary level in the State.
