Following the enactment of the now repealed Decree Number 43 of 1998 which introduced the civil service reforms, the Benue State Judiciary was restructured into five departments namely: Litigation, Inspectorates and Area Courts, Administration and Supplies, Finance and Accounts, and Planning, Research and Statistics.
