Flower Garden

As part of infrastructure stock gap closure and investment, Kwara state is desirous of developing its green space, popularly referred to as “Flower Garden”, into a prime recreational destination for residents and visitors to meet social and recreational demands based on proven financial viability.

The Flower Garden is a land asset of 2.8 hectares (ha), approximately 28,000 square meters located on Adeloun Road, G.R.A, Ilorin, Ilorin- West Local Government Area (LGA).


Owu fall

Towering about 120 metres above sea level to the base where it cascades to an ice-cold pool, Owu falls is considered as the highest and most spectacular waterfall in the whole of Sub-Saharan Africa. The fall is surrounded by a stretch of mountains extending to Ekiti and Kogi state.

Offa Palace

Offa local government was created in 1991 with headquarters at Offa.

The local government area has 10 wards. The major towns are Adeleke, Igbewere, Igbadu, and Offa. Yoruba is the predominant language spoken at the Offa LGA.

Offa is well known for cultivation of Sweet potatoes and maize which also formed part of the favourite staple foods of the indigenes in the town. Offa in one of her eulogy is being addressed as the home of sweet potatoes.

Its major festivals are Egungun, and Moremi festival. Tourist attractions include the Onimokas Shrine Offa and the Olofa of Offa’s palace.
