What Nigerian senators do

Senators are members of the upper chamber of Nigeria’s National Assembly. Their constitutional work includes making federal laws, representing their senatorial districts, exercising oversight over government institutions, considering treaties and participating in the confirmation of certain presidential nominees. The Senate has 109 seats in total.
