The situation in Benue, particularly in the Katsina-Ala Local Government Area, highlights severe challenges due to persistent insecurity. The prolonged closure of over 20 schools, 13 clinics, and 23 markets due to criminal activities has disrupted essential services, impacting education, healthcare, and economic stability. Local government chairman Justine Shaku aims to rebuild critical infrastructure, focusing on health, education, agriculture, and security to revitalize the council. This effort follows the recent Supreme Court decision, granting local governments more autonomy to address such pressing local issues.
