Shiva Rae M’ovul-Kondoun, from Logo Local Government Area of Benue State, Nigeria, has had a distinguished career in accounting and finance. Her educational journey began at Queen of Rosary Secondary School, Gboko, where she completed her WAEC/GCE O’ Levels in 1983. She then pursued a Diploma in Accounting from the Institute of Administration, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 1987, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Benin in 1997, and later, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Benue State University, Makurdi, in 2005. Currently, she is advancing her studies with a PhD in Accounting and Finance at Benue State University.
M’ovul-Kondoun has enhanced her expertise through several national and international training programs. Notable among these are her attendance at the “Leadership, Ethics and Corporate Governance” seminar at the University of Pittsburgh in 2013, the IFRS Conference in the UK in 2011, and the World Congress of Accountants (WCOA) in Rome (2014), Sydney (2018), and Mumbai (2022). Her career at Benue State University began in 2001 as Accountant I. Rising through the ranks, she became Deputy Bursar in 2012, acting Bursar in 2021, and is currently the Deputy Bursar of the Budget and Expenditure Control Division. She has held leadership positions, including membership on the ANAN Governing Council Committee for International Relations (2015-2019), Board of Trustees of the Chartered Institute of Forensic and Certified Fraud Examiners of Nigeria (CIFCFEN) (2019-present), and chairmanship of the Committee to Review the Benue State University Procurement Manual in 2021. She currently serves as the National Chairman of the Professional Women Accountants in Nigeria (PROWAN).

M’ovul-Kondoun’s career at Benue State University began in 2001 when she joined as an Accountant I. Her dedication and expertise saw her rise through the ranks, achieving the position of Deputy Bursar in 2012. In 2021, she served as the Acting Bursar of the university, demonstrating leadership and organizational acumen during her tenure.
