The Labour Party in Abia State recently appointed Hon. Emmanuel Nweze Otti as its acting state chairman. This change occurred after the former chairman, Ceeckay Igara, was elevated to the role of National Vice Chairman, South-East. Governor Alex Otti officiated the inauguration at the Labour Party Secretariat in Umuahia and expressed confidence in Otti’s leadership. Emmanuel Nweze Otti will serve as acting chairman until the party’s congress next year when a permanent chairman is expected to be elected.
During the inauguration, Governor Otti emphasized the importance of integrity and impartiality, encouraging the new chairman to lead fairly and effectively as the party works towards upcoming local government elections.
