The Chairman, of Gboko Local Government Council, Torseer Yina Esq. has approved the appointment of Akaka Susan Shipinen as the Secretary of Gboko Local Government Council.

Mrs Akaka who hails from Mbatierev obtained her FSLC in 1980 at RCM Primary School, Aliade, and GCE Ordinary Level at Government Girls Secondary School, Aliade. She is a 2006 graduate of Political Science of the Benue State University, Makurdi.

Mrs Akaka was employed in 1989 as a Home Economics Overseer. She rose through the rungs of civil service and was a Senior Personnel Assistant (1995), Principal Executive Officer (2003), and Principal Admin. Officer (2006) when she was equally the Legislative Council Clerk at the Table of Konshisha Local Government Legislative Council.

In August 2024, she retired as a Deputy Director of Administration on GL.15 after 35 meritorious years of service. While congratulating her, the chairman is confident that she would bring her wealth of experience to bear on her new job for the effective management and running of the council.

Similarly, the Chairman has also approved the appointment of Timothy Orhena as the Chief of Staff and Ukpi .B. Jacob Terlumun as the Special Assistant (Media).

The appointments are with immediate effect.
