ASSASSINATION OF ZAKI THADDEUS UKANDE, TYOOR U MBAJIR, SHITILE

The Shitile nation has been plunged into mourning and disbelief following the cowardly and brutal assassination of Zaki Thaddeus Ukande, Tyoor U Mbajir, by gunmen. The sad and most unfortunate incident occurred in the late hours of Wednesday, 6th of November, 2024. The news of his untimely death has sent shock waves through the community, leaving many questioning the senseless violence that had robbed them of a revered leader and pillar of society.

Tyoor U Mbajir was not just a mere figurehead in Shitile nation; he was a man of integrity, wisdom, and compassion who dedicated his life to serving his people and upholding the values of justice and unity. HE WAS A FATHER WE ALL KNEW. As a respected leader, he worked tirelessly to promote peace, reconciliation, and development within the community, earning the admiration and respect of all who knew him. He was working with His Lordship, Bishop of Katsina-Ala Diocese, Bishop Isaac Dugu, on the restoration of peace in Sankera; an initiative that is yielding positive fruits.

His assassination not only represents a tragic loss for the Shitile nation but also serves as a stark reminder of the persistent challenges of insecurity and lawlessness that continue to plague many communities across the Sankera region. The fact that he was targeted and killed in such a brazen manner underscores the urgent need for greater efforts to address the root causes of violence and conflict that threaten the stability and well-being of countless individuals and families.
