Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, on Monday 7 October 2024, inaugurated 23 newly elected Local Government Council Chairmen of the State. All the chairmen were elected on the platform of APC (All Progressives Congress) on Saturday, 5th October, 2024.

On Monday, 7 October, Hon. Ormin, the Executive Chairman, Gwer West LGA and his Deputy Hon. Mrs Wasega Juliana paid a courtesy call to Chief Goddy Ikyereve in his residence. Chief Ikyerave appreciated Ormin and his Deputy for the visit and prayed that God grant the two wisdom to discharge their duties in their new roles.

On Wednesday, October 9, a member representing Ikyaan constituency at the Benue State House of Assembly and Chairman House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Shimawua Emmanuel Terna , paid a courtesy call to the erstwhile Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Assembly Matters, the incumbent Executive Chairman of Guma LG Council who doubles as ALGON Chairman, Benue State, Hon. Orwough Maurice.
