Doguwa is a LGA (Local Government Area) in the southern part of Kano State, Nigeria. It is the largest LGA in the state by land area. It has a land area of 1,473 Km2. This is followed by these Kano LGAs:
- Sumaila 1,250 Km2
- Tudun Wada 1,204 Km2
- Kiru 927 Km2
- Rogo 802 Km2 and
- Dambatta 732 Km2
Doguwa is in the southern part of Kano State. It has bondarry with Tundun Wada LGA in the North, Kaduna State to the West and Bauchi State to the East.
Doguwa population as of 2006 census was 151,181.
The headquarters of Doguwa is in Riruwai town.

An indegene of Doguwa LGA, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, as of 2023, represented Doguwa and Tudun Wada Federal Constituency of Kano State.
Alhassan was also the Majority Leader of the House.
