How Land Rover started

Maurice Wilks, a pioneering British engineer, was the visionary behind Land Rover, one of the world’s most iconic off-road vehicle brands. His inspiration came in 1947 when, as the engineering director of the Rover Company, he saw the need for a durable, versatile vehicle that could handle the demands of agriculture, rugged terrain, and post-war civilian needs.
