Jukun people in Benue state are located largely in Abinsi as well as in Makurdi, Guma and Logo LGAs.
Abinsi town is the capital of the people. Abinsi is in Guma LGA but close to Makurdi town.

The larger Jukun population, resides in and around Wukari, where they are governed by a monarch.
Other Jukun people living in the Benue basin, such as Jukun wanu of Abinsi, Awei District, Donga, Takum and Adamawa are politically separate from the Wukari government.
