Hyacinth Iormem Alia Alia to take Benue State to the promise land. His Excellency also thanked the Ozigizaga for helping the APC to do well in his areas of influence in the 2023 polls.
He said Dr. Ottah Agbo is a well connected asset with organic connect with the masses. He added that a politician like the Ozigizaga should play national politics in the ruling party to add value to democracy and humanity.
Barr Ode also described Dr. Ottah Agbo as an epitome of selfless and purposeful leadership who transformed his Enone Constituency into a major construction site as well as, empowered, and still empowering his Enone people, even out of office.
Chief Ode added that the former lawmaker made history as the best ever parliamentarian from Benue South, even though he served in the National Assembly for just one term between 2019 and 2023!
“Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo is an accomplished journalist and Parliamentarian who used his short stay in the House of Representatives to Massively empower his constituents and attracted unimaginable legacy projects to Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency.
“Within four years, he built markets, town halls, built roads and bridges, built the NDLEA Zonal Command, built a General Hospital, built Primary Health Care Centers, refurbished water schemes, built drainages, built and furnished several classrooms, distributed his 4-Year salaries to orphans and widows and provided trailer loads of fortified Cassava stems to farmers.
” Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo also launched Operation Light Up Enone Scheme through which he installed solar systems and all-in-one solar panels across the 35 wards that he represented and provided public electricity for many districts/wards, chief amongst them were Eke Jericho, Royongo Ward, Ichama District, Ijigban District and Ulayi District Electrification Projects, etc.
“And above all, he attracted to his Federal Constituency, the ambitious Agro- Processing (Cassava) Zone with a factory equipped with State of the Arts facility which is ready for commissioning.
” From what we know and see today, Hon Francis Ottah Agbo is a selfless leader who lives for his people. I have been to his house before he became a Member of House of Representatives and I have observed his house has not changed, the house hasn’t been renovated, the curtains are the same, the sitting room is same with same sofas etc. Ordinarily, he would have made his home more exotic to conform with his new status of a lawmaker but because he lives for the ordinary people, he remains the same. This is worthy of emulation.
“As a first timer in the House of Representatives, a 360 membership Parliament, he was appointed Chairman of the Narcotic Drugs Committee as well as, the Spokesman of the Minority Caucus where he used his office to facilitate the employment of teeming Benue youths into the NDLEA, Police, Armed Forces, FRSC, Fire Service, Prison, Immigration and many other agencies and parastatals of the Federal Government. Before him, no one from Benue South was Chairman of a standing committee in the first term,” Chief Ode stressed.
Dr. Ottah Agbo and family thanked His Excellency and his team for being August visitors in September. While extolling the political sagacity of the Deputy Governor, the Ozigizaga said he won’t take this honour done to him for granted.
He said he has been under tremendous pressure from his teeming supporters across party lines to decamp to APC. The Ozigizaga said the visit of the Deputy Governor was an attestation that the APC wants him and promised to widen his consultations with targeted political leaders, polymorphous opinion leaders, his team, his structure and sector commanders symmetrically and asymmetrically, with a view to joining the APC with them.
