TERFA ATOZA IHINDAN

Terfa Atoza Ihindan was born on 30 January, 1966 to the family of Ihindan Ngyorikyaa Abege in Mbacher, Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State.

Terfa began his educational career in 1971 at the NKST Primary School, Harga in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area and later moved to Government College, Katsina-Ala. On completing his secondary education in 1982, the young Terfa, filled with strong quest for higher education, found himself at the School of Basic Studies, Makurdi and later the University of Jos where he bagged a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1988.

Hon. Terfa Atoza Ihindan was posted to Oyo State in the 1988/89 for the mandatory National Youth Service where he was incharge of monitoring DFFRI Projects in Ilesha Local Government Area.

Always seeking more knowledge, Hon. Terfa Atoza Ihindan went to the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1997 where he obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Management. He was back again at the same University from 2002 – 2003 where he bagged a masters degree in Business Administration.

A digest of his working career reveals that Hon. Terfa Atoza Ihindan began his career a sales Executive with America International insurance Company (AIICO) Jos in 1989 and later moved to Man-Agro Nigeria Ltd, Jos as operations manager.

Between 1990 and 1992, he was with people’s Bank of Nigeria, Jos as Zonal program Officer. Between 1992 and 2003 Hon. Terfa Atoza Ihindan worked with the national Board for Community Banks as Chief appraisal Officer.

The Hon. Commissioner is not new in the act of governance. Between 2003 and 2007, he held various positions at the National Assembly Abuja as Senior House of Representatives-(Rt. Hon. Gabriel Torwua Suswam), Senior legislative Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on project monitoring, Benue State.

Today Hon. Terfa Atoza Ihindan is the helmsman in the ministry of commerce and industries, Benue State as Cabinet Commissioner.

He is married and has children.
