Terwase Orbunde

Hon. Terwase Orbunde, who hails from Kwande Local Government Area, was born on 19th July 1959.

He had his early education at LGEA Primary School, Katsina-Ala and later progressed to Government Secondary School (now Special Science School),Kuru, and the University of Jos, all in Plateau State, where he obtained a B.Sc in Architecture in 1986.

In 1992 he was elected into the House of Representatives for Kwande Federal Constituency.

In the 1999 political dispensation, Hon. Orbunde was Chief Legislative Aide and later Adviser to the former Senate President, Senator Pius Anyim, between 2000 and 2003.

Hon. Orbunde was appointed Caretaker Chairman of Kwande Local Government from July to December 2007, during which period he was elected ALGON Chairman. He was also chairman, Joint Peace Committee of the Benue/Cross River border crisis. In the buildup to the 2015 gubernatorial elections, Hon. Orbunde was first appointed Director General and later campaign Adviser to both Samuel Ortom and Ortom/Abounu campaign organizations.

Hon. Orbunde, who is widely travelled, is married with four children.
