GOV. ALIA ANNOUNCES THE CONSTRUCTION OF TYOGDENDA- JINGIR-UGA, OTHER ROADS IN BURUKU

Approves the revamping of Mbatie Agriculture Training Center, Mbatie, Buruku.

The Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia has announced the construction of Tyogbenda-Jingir-Uga and Tyowanye-Uga roads in Buruku Local Government Area of the State.

The Governor made the pronouncement Thursday 20th June, 2024 during his Thank You Tour to the good people Buruku at the Community Secondary School playground, Buruku LGA, during his Thank You Tour.

The governor stated that although the Tyogbenda – Jingir – Uga and Tyowanye-Uga through Tse Addingi – Mkovur road already awarded by his administration was rewarded by the president of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu among other roads in the state. He thanked the president for the numerous support his administration is receiving from the presidency.

Gov. Alia also said Mbatie Agricultural Training Center, Mbatie Buruku LGA would be revamped and adequately reactivated back to use to boost agricultural activities in the state as well as create job opportunities for the youths.

The governor reassured the good people of Buruku of his administration and the president’s commitment to ensure that Buruku bridge was fully constructed and completed before the exit of Mr President from office, saying all plans were in place for the commencement of the project.

In his welcome speech, Benue State commissioner for Works, Housing and Urban Development Hon. Tiza Isaac Imojime Orya appreciated the Governor for the ample opportunity given to the youths in Buruku and Benue to serve in his history-making administration.

“Show me the person who says pensioners, workers and the masses won’t smile in Benue and let me show that person Gov. Alia”.

The commissioner said Buruku people’s unwavering support for the governor was evidenced in their massive turnout for the visit even though the rescheduled date got to them at the elevent hour. He assured the governor and his government of the people’s continuous support for the success of the State.

Other persons who underscored the governor’s achievements and his commitment to do more for the Benue masses as well as threw encomium on the Buruku people for properly conducting themselves and behaving as civilized persons at the occasion were the State Ag. Chairman of the All Progressive Congress APC, Hon. Benjamin Omakolo, Sen. Dr. Barnabas Gemade among other speakers.

The groundbreaking event witnessed over two thousand de-campees from other Political parties in the local government and had top government functionaries and dignitaries in attendance.
