In Nigeria, the Gombe Line is the only state-owned public transport service that loads only 15 passengers per bus, says Dr. Sani Sabo.
The director of General Gombe State Transport Services disclosed this while receiving a courtesy call from Gombe state’s new co-commandant of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Mr. Samson Kaura, in his office.
Dr. Sani Sabo reiterates Gombe Line’s commitment to safety for both vehicles and passengers, while the Road Safety Commission plays a pivotal role in the reduction of road traffic crashes and accidents.
“We are grateful and delighted for your presence here, and we are ready to collaborate and cooperate with you to reduce road accidents and enhance safety on the road.” Sani Sabo stated
Speaking earlier, the Gombe State co-commandant of the Road Service Commission said, “We are here to solicit your deeper cooperation to ensure the safety of our roads; together, we can be able to reduce road traffic crashes in Gombe State and the nation as a whole.
“Importantly, now that we have started preparation for the ember month campaign, we are visiting different motor parks, media houses, churches, and mosques to enlight the general public on the proper use of the road, how to plan to avoid high-speed that causes an accident.” He added
Lastly, he appreciated the warmest reception received from the management of Gombe Line.
Highlights of the occasion are the presentation of a gift to the Co-commandant and the Exchange of pleasantries.
