Steps
- Open the website in Chrome.
- Tap the three-dot menu (⋮).
- Tap Add to Home screen. If the site is installable, you may instead see Install app.
- Choose one of the options if asked:
- Install (or Install app): adds it as an app that opens in its own window, without the address bar.
- Create shortcut: adds a plain shortcut that opens the site in Chrome.
- Edit the name if you like, then tap Add or Install.
- If a prompt asks how to place it, tap Add automatically, or press and hold the icon and drag it where you want.
Find it later
- Look on your home screen, or swipe up to open the app drawer and search by name.
Remove it
- Press and hold the icon and choose Uninstall or Remove. For an installed app, you can also go to Settings → Apps and uninstall it.

Notes
- Install app only appears for sites built as web apps (PWAs). For other sites you’ll see Add to Home screen, which makes a shortcut.
- Some phones show a small install icon in the address bar. Tapping it does the same thing.
- If the option is missing, update Chrome from the Play Store and reload the page.
