Lagos House of Assembly offers Lagosians chance to be a part of democracy in action.
The House is open to the public throughout the year, with the exception of Public Holidays.
Visitors are welcome to wander the public areas at the Lagos House of Assembly at their leisure or take a guided tour (contact info@lagoshouseofassembly.gov.ng).
Sitting of the House
The House sits on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at a time resolved to at the previous sitting. It is instructive to note that the House conducts its business in Yoruba language on Thursdays except it otherwise resolved.
The required quorum for the sitting to commence is at least one-third {1/3} of all Members of the House; and the House of Assembly is expected to sit for a period not less than one hundred and eighty-one (181) days in a year.
Conditions of entry
All visitors to the Lagos State House of Assembly are required to undergo security screening prior to entry. The screening process provided by the House Security Service offers both visitors and staff working in the building a safe and protected environment.
