EDUCATION MINISTER ABOLISHED 18 YEARS BENCHMARK UNIVERSITY EDUCATION

The Nigerian Minister of Education, Tahir Mamman, recently announced a shift in the minimum age requirement for university entry. Previously, there was an 18-year benchmark, but this has now been abolished. This decision aims to create more flexible access to higher education, allowing younger qualified students to enroll. The policy shift is part of broader reforms to increase accessibility and improve the efficiency of Nigeria’s education system.
