IKD 106.1 FM is the foremost full-fledged community radio station in Lagos State. Officially launched in March, 2021 by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the evident vision of the media outfit invoked the pleasures of Mr. Governor as it reflects an outstanding initiative towards the fulfilment of all that borders on uplifting Lagos, uniting her diverse and bubbly people while also catering to the representation needs of the wonderful people of Ikorodu
The sobriquet of Lagos which is the “Center of Excellence” evidently rubs – off with the establishment of the broadcast station, created solely to give a voice to everyone at the grassroots, while also providing a delightful bouquet from which radio lovers make their choice.
What more could anyone ask for in a radio station, whose language offerings are as diverse as her rich programming. From Yoruba language to the Ijebu dialect – which is native to Ikorodu; going further to broadcasts in English as well as pidgin, it’s a given fact, that everyone who loves and listens to IKD radio is engagingly covered.\
