The Ugondo community in Mbayaka District, Buruku Local Government, is facing difficulty due to the collapse of a bridge connecting them to Tyowanye Market.
The bridge collapsed after heavy downpour in September 2024. The month of September is the peak of rainfall in Benue State. The month experiences increasingly heavy rains.
This critical infrastructure damage has cut off part of the community, making it impossible for residents to move out or in.
Hon. Livinus Awuhe and Community Chairman, Mr. Terkaa Ioreren, are urgently calling upon Buruku Local Government, Benue State officials, prominent community members, and humanitarian organizations to intervene and repair the bridge and road.
