NKST Churches and locations
NKST churches are grouped in hierarchy starting from bottom to top or smallest to largest. At the base is what is simply called church or Iyou msen (Iyou adua) then in some cases Gbar Katekisema, Nongo u Kristu, Kelase and finally NKST as a whole.
1 Church or base church (also called Iyou msen or Iyou adua) This is a smaller one on the line of churches. It’s at the base and under a major church. Base churches normally dont have a resident pastor though under the control of a resident pastor in the catchment area usually a nearby Nongo u Krustu
2 Nongo u Kristu (It’s the catchment area of nearby base chuches or groups as well as a major church with a resident pastor. This is an important community in NKST. It has at least one major church with a pastor who resides there or in the neighbourhood.
The major or parent church may have other churches under it. In towns the major church may not have other churches provided the population meets NKST guideline for establishment of Nongo u Krustu.
3 Zone (also known as classis) This is combination of major churches (Iniongo i Kristu) in an area.
