The Technical Adviser to the Governor of Benue State on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communication, Hon. Solomon Iorpev was at his home town, Mbavaa, Gaav in Konshisha LGA of Benue State to thank God for the manifold blessings bestowed upon him and his family, most especially of his appointment as the Technical Adviser on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communication by his Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia.

The ceremony which began with a church service at the Full Gospel Revival Crusade, Tse Agberagba, Konshisha LGA was graced by top government officials, party men, colleagues, friends and well-wishers across the length and breath of Benue State and beyond.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Iorpev said he was overwhelmed with joy coming back home to interface with his people. He further appreciates Gov. Alia for finding him worthy to serve in the capacity of a Technical Adviser in his administration, saying he did not take the opportunity for granted and is willing to contribute his quota towards achieving the Governor’s campaign promises to the good people of Benue State.

Hon. Iorpev equally thank his people for their prayers and support over the years while also dedicating his appointment to them and assuring them of his resolve towards impacting the lives of the entire Konshisha people. He also single out Sen. Barnabas Gemade in appreciation for his fatherly love and care, and for always standing by his people. He further appreciates his kinsmen, notably HRH, Jam Gbinde (Ter Kyoor) and other traditional rulers for honouring him with a Chieftaincy Title, a gesture he described as a rare privilege.

He therefore enjoin the good people of Konshisha to remain steadfast in their support and prayers for Fr.. Alia to succeed, saying the Governor’s intentions for the State were genuine.

In his remarks, Sen. Barnabas Gemade appreciates Gov. Alia for finding Hon. Iorpev and other Konshisha sons and daughters worthy of appointments into his Government. He further acknowledged the giant strides the Governor has made within hospital one year in office, saying the entire people of Jechira are proud of him and that his next tenure of 2027 was not negotiable, while also calling on the good people of Benue State to rally round Fr. Alia in other that he may even do more.

Earlier in his preaching, the superintendent of Full Gospel Revival Crusade Church, Rev. Pst. Tom Ingya charged the people to take a cue from Hon. Solomon Iorpev in always coming to the alter of God for thanksgiving. He prayed the good Lord to grant the celebrant wisdom and strength to excel in his new office.

Other dignitaries at the occasion were the Permanent Secretary of Government House, Mr. Bathelomew Geraga, Transport Officer, GovernmentHouse, Mrs. Judith Zaka, Special Assistans to the Governor of Digital and Broadcast media, Hon. Jerry Igbetar and Hon. Ahoho Terungwa respectively, Government Correspondence Chapel, Press Crew and amongst others

Highlights of the event was the Conferment of a Chieftaincy Title known as “Akinde u Konshisha” by Ter Kyoor and his traditional council.
