Hon. Uwizeyimana Evode (b. 14 January 1970) is a distinguished Rwandan legal scholar, jurist, and public servant with a career spanning law, governance, and legislative reform. Appointed as a Senator in 2020, he has previously served as Minister of State for Constitutional and Legal Affairs in the Ministry of Justice (2016–2020), where he contributed to strengthening Rwanda’s legal and constitutional framework.

He also played pivotal roles in the Rwanda Law Reform Commission, the Constitutional Review Commission, and the Inquiry Committee on the BBC documentary “Rwanda’s Untold Story.” His professional background includes academic research in Canada and judicial service in Rwanda’s intermediate courts.

With advanced legal education in international and business law, Hon. Uwizeyimana Evode has been instrumental in legal reforms, governance policy, and constitutional development in Rwanda.
