The road spans from Uyo to Ikot Ekpene, two major areas in Akwa Ibom.
The people of Ikot Ekpene were wrongly told that once Governor Udom Emmanuel wins second term in office, the road would be abandoned making the project controversial. It was completed by Udom.
Akwa Ibom State government assured people of its readiness and determination to complete the 25 kilometres Uyo-Ikot Ekpene dualised road by the end of 2019.
