JUST IN, SENATE CONFIRM MINISTERS NOMINEES

The Nigerian Senate has recently confirmed the latest ministerial nominees proposed by President Bola Tinubu. The appointments include seven key individuals intended to strengthen various government sectors. Among the newly confirmed ministers are:

  1. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
  2. Nentawe Yilwatda for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
  3. Maigari Dingyadi for Labour and Employment.
  4. Dr. Jumoke Oduwole for Industry, Trade, and Investment.
  5. Idi Maiha to head the new Livestock Development Ministry.
  6. Yusuf Ata as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development.
  7. Dr. Suwaiba Ahmad as Minister of State for Education.

These appointments come as part of a broader cabinet reshuffle that also involved reassigning ten ministers to new roles and replacing others. This reshuffle reflects Tinubu’s intent to align the executive team with his administration’s priorities for economic recovery and structural reforms in key sectors such as employment, education, and foreign relations.
