The Labour Party in Buruku Local Government has commended Hon. Gbaa Desmond for his bold decision to contest for Chairman of Buruku Local Government Council, despite facing candidates from major parties

At a stakeholders’ meeting held in Buruku township, Hon. Gbaa Desmond briefed the gathering on his journey thus far, soliciting their unwavering support ahead of the October 5th election. He emphasized that he is contesting because, according to Tiv tradition of “Ya na Agbian” , the next Chairman of Buruku Local Government is from Binev in Tombo, and as a proud son of Binev, he is prepared to serve.

Labour Party leaders present, including, Local Government Chairman,Shagbaor Msughter Tsavnum,State Woman Leader,Mrs. Agoom Blessing IV Former Buruku Chairman,Hon. Aga Jiki Elder Kumbur, Chairman of Ward Chairmen,Moses Atengo, among others praised Hon. Gbaa Desmond for utilizing his hard earned resources to stand up for truth. They acknowledged that the current economic climate makes his candidacy particularly challenging, yet commendable.

According to the party leaders, Hon. Gbaa Desmond’s courage has kept the Labour Party alive in Buruku. They promised to fully engage in his campaign, mobilizing support for his election.

The stakeholders’ meeting demonstrated the party’s unity and resolve to support Hon. Gbaa Desmond’s candidacy. With their backing, he is poised to make a strong impact in the upcoming election.
