Hon. Onoja who was born on 20th July 1980 in Kaduna, hails from Ohimini local government area.
He attended and completed primary education at Omoleye Children’s School, Ilupeju, Lagos in 1991 after which he proceeded to Social Sciences College of Saint Josephs where he passed out in 1998.
Hon. Onoja gained admission into University of Abuja where he studied Economics and graduated in 2002 with a B.Sc in Economics. He attended the Nigerian Institute of Management in 2006. Mr Onoja received training in Best Practice Business Communication, Marketing and Branding Techniques in 2011; as well as Efficiency and Performance Improvement workshop and Customer Relationship Management workshop, in 2014.
He served as Operations Manager, True-Eye Properties Nig. Limited, 2002-2003; Operations Manager, Kayton International Nig. Limited between 2003 and 2005; Payroll Officer during the mandatory NYSC, in the Governor’s Office in Abia State from 2005-2006.
Mr. Onoja was Supervisory Councilor for Works and Housing, Ohimini Local Government, from 2006 to 2007 and Vice Chairman of the council in 2007.
Thereafter, he was Manager, Safrone Business Options Nig. Limited, 2008 and 2010; Senior Officer, Marketing (Business Development Unit) Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited from 2010 to 2013 as well as Manager, Marketing, Advertisement and Sales, Nigerian Communications Satellite Ltd from 2013 until his appointment as commissioner.
Hon. Onoja who is married loves travelling, reading, sharing ideas, seeking new knowledge, watching films and socializing.
